What you get
Built for individual practice. No teams, no schedule, no surprise rule changes mid-session.
One account, one rank. Your solves and score history stay attached to your handle, not to a team.
There's no event clock. Sign in whenever you have time, work through a challenge, and come back when you're ready for the next one.
Submit a flag and you'll know if it's correct immediately. Points land on your account the moment a solve is verified.
Watch your rank move as you solve. Your profile keeps a running record of attempts, solves, and score over time.
New here?
A Capture The Flag is a security challenge competition. You're given problems in categories like web, cryptography, forensics, reverse engineering, and binary exploitation. Each problem hides a string called the flag, and your job is to recover it and submit it for points.
This site is the practice version: same format, no scheduled event, no teams. Sign up, work through problems at your own pace, and your solves stay on your account.
How it works
Register with an email and a handle. That handle is what shows up on the leaderboard and on your profile.
Browse the catalog, filter by category and difficulty, read the prompt, and download any attached files.
Find the hidden string, paste it into the submit box, and you'll get instant feedback on whether it's right.
Your dashboard shows recent solves, score progression, and which challenges are still open.

No. This instance is built for solo accounts. Every solve and every rank position belongs to one handle.
Flags follow the prefix athena{…}. Individual challenges occasionally extend or override the format, in which case the prompt will say so.
Each challenge has a point value. Submit the correct flag and the points are added to your account immediately. Wrong submissions don't deduct points, though some challenges add a short cooldown after repeated wrong attempts.
